Quviviq vs DAYVIGO

both orexin receptor antagonists reviewed for insomnia

Not a head-to-head comparison. These drugs were studied in separate trials with different designs, populations and timepoints. Each figure below comes from that drug's own reviews and cannot be lined up against the other's.

What the regulatory reviews say

Quviviq (daridorexant) and DAYVIGO (lemborexant) are both orexin receptor antagonists reviewed for the treatment of insomnia. Quviviq is indicated for adult patients with insomnia characterized by symptoms present for at least 3 months and considerable impact on daytime functioning. DAYVIGO is indicated for the treatment of insomnia, characterized by difficulties with sleep onset and/or sleep maintenance, in adults.

In its review, Quviviq demonstrated a change from baseline in Wake After Sleep Onset (WASO) of -22.78 minutes and in Latency to Persistent Sleep (LPS) of -11.67 minutes, compared to placebo. DAYVIGO's review showed a LSGM ratio of sSOL (Month 6 / Baseline) for lemborexant 5 mg vs placebo of 0.73 and for lemborexant 10 mg vs placebo of 0.70. It also showed an LS Mean Treatment Difference in sWASO for lemborexant 5 mg vs placebo of -17.5 minutes and for lemborexant 10 mg vs placebo of -12.7 minutes.

It is crucial to note that these drugs were studied in separate trials with different designs, populations, endpoints, and timepoints. The figures presented are from each drug's own review documents and are not head-to-head comparisons. Therefore, neither drug is presented as superior to the other.
