What the regulatory reviews cover
This library includes several GLP-1 receptor agonists that have undergone regulatory review for various indications. These drugs are primarily indicated for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus, often as an adjunct to diet and exercise, to improve glycemic control. Some have also been reviewed for cardiovascular risk reduction, weight management, and other specific conditions.
For instance, Mounjaro demonstrated HbA1c effect sizes for tirzepatide vs placebo (GPGI) of -1.33 to -1.56. Wegovy showed an estimated treatment difference (ETD) in body weight change vs placebo of -14.81. Rybelsus achieved a reduction in fasting glucose with semaglutide vs placebo of 22%. Saxenda resulted in 56% of patients losing >=5% body weight in the Saxenda arm, compared to 25% in the placebo arm. It is important to note that these drugs were studied in different trials, and therefore, the reported figures are not directly comparable in a head-to-head manner.
