Dupixent vs Ebglyss

Dupixent (dupilumab) is a biologic reviewed for multiple indications, including moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis in adult patients who are candidates for systemic therapy, chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyposis, and eosinophilic esophagitis. One key finding from its FDA review for atopic dermatitis showed a 76.1% improvement in EASI-75. Ebglyss (lebrikizumab) is a biologic reviewed for the treatment of moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis in adults and adolescents 12 years of age and older who are candidates for systemic therapy. Its EMA review reported that 43.1% of patients achieved an IGA score of 0 or 1 with a ≥2-point reduction.

The trials for Dupixent and Ebglyss were conducted independently with distinct designs, patient populations, and timepoints. Dupixent's review highlighted an IGA score of 0 or 1 and a reduction of >= 2 points in 39.1% of patients. Ebglyss's review also presented IGA 0,1 with ≥2-Point reduction results, including 12.7% for placebo and 41.2% for patients receiving Ebglyss with topical corticosteroids (TCS), compared to 22.1% for placebo with TCS. These figures are not head-to-head comparisons, and neither drug is presented as superior to the other.
